Occasionally, at the beginning of your therapy sessions, I may lead you through a shorter, guided Meditation Moment similar to this one.
It’s designed to help you feel safe and grounded in preparation for your sacred conversation together.
The meditation begins and ends with the sound of a gong, and provides useful insights into the power of the breath.
The audio below provides an expanded version of the Meditation Moment so you can experience this for yourself, whether you are currently on my wait list, would like to experience what it would be like to work with me, or just want to enjoy being guided through a short (20 minute) meditation.
About Meditation
There are many types of meditation. This meditation falls generally into the Mindfulness meditation category.
Research on the power of Mindfulness practices to assist with self regulation, and brain research on the power of gratitude and optimism, has been most helpful in providing a sound basis for this work.

This audio hasn’t been edited to eliminate all background noises intentionally. We wanted this experience to reflect reality and give you an opportunity to learn to include the natural sounds of life around you, while tuning inward and attending to yourself.
Preparation
- Choose a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted.
- Wear comfortable clothing.
- Sit in a relaxed position with your feet on the floor.
